Melanin is a compound responsible for giving the color to our skin. If it happens to be produced in big amounts on one place, it leads to freckles, liver spots and various darker skin conditions. In other words, these dark/dim spots on the face are knows as hyper-pigmentation. The most common reasons for them to appear are: sun exposure, hormonal disbalance, and reaction to certain medications. If you are fighting against these dark spots, keep reading in order to see how to remove them and make your skin bright and clear again.
There are several types of dark/black spots or hyperpigmentation:
- Lentigines (dark spots which appeared as a result of sun exposure from the UV rays);
- Melasma (dark spots which appeared as a result of hormonal fluctuations or thyroid dysfunction);
- Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark/black spots caused by certain trauma to the skin, such as psoriasis, acne, burns and so on.)
All the treatments are very expensive and are based on chemical peels like lightening technique which make them highly harmful and unnatural.
Below, we present to you a natural homemade mask which can be a great substitute of the expensive and effectless creams for soft and smooth skin.
One of the ingredients is honey, which is helpful in removing bacteria, and giving the skin freshness, vitality and elasticity.
Furthermore, baking soda can lower the skin irritation and also improve the blood circulation.
This mask is suitable for all skin types.
- 1/2 a teaspoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix properly until you get a homogenous mixture. Make sure your face is clean before you apply the mask. After applying, let the mask act for about 10 minutes. At the end, wash your face with warm water.
Do the treatment two times a week and enjoy the beauty of your skin!
